Vintage Fashion Obsession!!!

Well I just noticed that recently i am leaning more towards the Vintage style dresses and when i was going through Vogue magazine (issue August 2011 UK) i saw this beautiful Miu Miu tea dress worn by Kate Moss. From that point of time i am obsessed with the classic tea dress. The vintage 40's tea dress has always been a popular look. They are just comfortable and elegant at the same time. The good thing about that is, you can wear it from day to night anywhere and everywhere.

All the details like beading, embroidery, paint makes it even more special. With that there is one more detail coming up this season, "Shoulder Pads".Pleated on the shoulder elbow sleeves, mid calf length, collar shirt dress, describes tea dress. The colors palette i prefer on this dresses are mute and earthy tones.

Okay, So how would you dress it? Bright red lipstick and t-bar shoes may be old school thing. As Jess Cartner-Morley (Guardian writer)said, You need to know from which decade the style comes from, but you also need to know which decade we are in now". Let me know when you try those dresses and how did you styled it?

Also, not always you have to buy from big fashion brands. For more day to day wear you can find those dresses from etsy.com, link pasted below and small designer as it would be more cheaper.

I like the idea of wearing it a belt.
And looks casual with cami and open buttons.

Price Hike!

When it comes to business, first thing first is Cost. (This post is specially dedicated to  the people who is planning on a start up and thinks manufacturing in developing and under developed countries are cheap. )
Most of the time when you check the label of your garment it say "Made in some Asian countries". Why? Obviously as we all know, the wages are cheap and easily available. But now with all the manufacturing companies in those Asian countries the pressure is mounting to push wages up,even in the times when cotton prices are falling down. Rick Darling, president of company Li & Fung U.S., said clothing price will continue to grow over the next 10 to 20 years. Starting from this year it is estimated that china plans to increase minimum wages by 13% a year over the next 5 years in the industrialized coastal zone.

The Legendary Ralph Lauren!

Ralph Lauren: A powerful global empire that has put its stamp on everything from tuxedos to tennis skirts. He has his hands on everything and every time he comes up with something new. This  time he celebrates 10 years of digital innovation with a Fashion 4D show  outside of his Newyork  showroom on Madison Ave. It was really a breath taking show when hundreds of people get together to watch that show.

I loved the way when the Polo game is played and you feel that horses actually is coming on to you. So what is 4D? The answer is when they show their iconic perfume bottles sprays perfume in the air and everyone can smell it.

So about the Ralph Lauren collection for Fall 2011 Newyork Fashion week. The inspiration for this season was Far East . China must be the most fast paced country on the planet but Ralph took us to the country's leisurely past.  Here is the look of Ralph Lauren Fall 2011 Collection!!!
